Is it possible to keep facial skin glowing, beautiful, and healthy without spending a fortune on cosmetic products? It is possible to check how to do this easily by home preparation of soaps, masks and face creams based on ingredients everyone has at home.

When I started to be interested in the topic I did not imagine how popular and common it is.
The internet is full of various suggestions and ideas for preparing creams and face masks for different problems: for anti aging, for glow, against acne, to prevent wrinkles, for skin care, to add moisture, vitality and more.

It is possible to use cucumbers, honey, avocado, yogurt, oatmeal, lemon, olive oil, turmeric, bananas, tea and various essential oils to create effective and good creams, without preservatives or synthetic substances and at very low cost.

Spices, fruits, and other vegetables

  • Bananas – contain magnesium, vitamin B, vitamin C, potassium, and antioxidants. Beneficial for skin health.
  • Avocado – contains vitamin E and antioxidants, high concentration of fats, good for pimples and acne problems.
  • Cucumbers – contain potassium and antioxidants and are 95% water. Good for reducing puffiness around the eyes and moisturizing the skin.
  • Green tea – high concentration of polyphenols, antioxidants with anti inflammatory and antibacterial effects.
  • Yogurt – contains lactic acid and proteins, good for peeling and calming the skin.
  • Honey – contains antioxidants, antibacterial, vitamins and minerals, calcium and potassium.
    Good for preventing and treating wrinkles, teenage acne, and cleansing the skin.
  • Oatmeal – contains antioxidants, anti-inflammatory properties, effective against dryness and maintaining skin moisture.
    Also contributes to brightening the skin and improving its texture.
  • Potato – contains vitamin C, good for skin cleansing and reducing puffiness.
  • Lemon – contains vitamin C, good for brightening and cleansing the skin.

Recipes for home masks

  • Oatmeal mask – half a cup of cooked oatmeal, one egg, one tablespoon almond oil. Apply for 15 minutes and rinse.
  • Cucumber juice mask – grind 2 cucumbers, squeeze the juice, apply for 20 minutes, rinse.
  • Lemon mask – juice of half a lemon, one tablespoon brown sugar, massage on face, leave for 10 minutes, rinse well.
  • Potato and pumpkin mask – 1 cup grated potato + 1 cup grated pumpkin, squeeze liquids, apply for 10 minutes, rinse.

Masks for moisture, nourishment, and skin improvement

  • Avocado mask – 2 tablespoons mashed avocado, 2 tablespoons honey, egg yolk.
    Apply for 20 minutes.
  • Avocado and cucumber mask – 2 tablespoons mashed avocado, 2 tablespoons yogurt, 1 grated cucumber.
    Apply for 20 minutes.
  • Oatmeal and avocado mask – 2 tablespoons mashed avocado, 2 tablespoons oatmeal, juice of half a lemon.
    Apply for 15 minutes.
  • Turmeric and honey mask – 1 teaspoon honey, ½ teaspoon turmeric, ½ teaspoon olive oil, ¼ teaspoon raw cocoa, 2 tablespoons milk.
    Apply for 15 minutes.
  • Banana and honey mask – 1 mashed banana, 1 teaspoon honey, 1 teaspoon olive oil.
    Apply for 15 minutes.
  • Potato and cucumber mask – ½ grated potato, ½ grated cucumber, 1 teaspoon olive oil.
    Apply for 15 minutes.
  • Green tea and honey mask – 4 tablespoons green tea infusion, 2 tablespoons honey, 1 teaspoon olive oil.
    Apply for 10 minutes.

Anti-aging and wrinkle prevention

  • Carrot mask – 1 grated carrot, 3 drops lemon juice, 3 drops coconut oil. Apply for 20 minutes.
  • Cucumber and honey mask – 1 grated cucumber, 1 teaspoon honey. Apply for 15 minutes.
  • Chocolate mask – 3 tablespoons raw cocoa, 2 tablespoons honey, ¼ cup milk.
    Apply for 15 minutes.

Anti-aging face creams

  • Day cream – 2 tablespoons coconut oil, 1 tablespoon shea butter, 2 tablespoons avocado oil, 6 drops lavender essential oil, 5 drops vitamin E oil, 1 tablespoon beeswax.
    Mix and store in a jar.
  • Night cream – 4 tablespoons shea butter, 1 tablespoon almond oil, 1 tablespoon jojoba oil, 1 tablespoon beeswax, 5 drops lavender essential oil, 6 drops rose oil.
    Mix and store in a jar.

Home soaps

  • Use leftover solid soaps – heat 15 seconds in microwave, stir, pour into silicone mold, add natural coloring, flowers, or petals.
    After hardening, remove from mold.

Important tip: Drink at least 8 glasses of water per day, avoid smoking, and eat healthy – important for facial skin health like the soaps and creams themselves.
